The Information Technologies Institute (ITI) was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organization under the auspices of the General Secretariat for Research and Technology of the Greek Ministry of Development, with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece.

CERTH/ITI is one of the leading Institutions of Greece in the fields of Informatics, Telematics and Telecommunications, with long experience in numerous European and national R&D projects. It is active in a large number of research domains such as Security and Surveillance, Image and Signal Processing, Computer & Cognitive Vision, Human Computer Interaction, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Multimedia, Database and Information Systems and Social Media Analysis.

Role:

CERTH is responsible for WP3 Energy consumption data sensing & collection. In terms of innovation contributions, CERTH further extends and applies expertise on energy consumption modelling and on privacy-aware microlocation tracking within buildings (T3.2 Privacy-preserving presence sensing and activity detection and Task 4.1 Indoor climate detection) and in the detection of Indoor climate (Task 3.3 Indoor climate detection).  Finally, they will collaborate with WVT and NHRF to launch and support the Greek pilot in Task 7.4 Pilot deployment and validation  in Greece, and coordinate the deliverable D7.4 Final overall validation and impact report.
